Atlantic Guardian to hold organizational meeting

Post by Jim Alberty » Fri Jan 31, 2003 10:26 pm

Community Musical Arts of Portland, Maine, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization is pleased to announce the first organizational meeting for Atlantic Guardian Drum and Bugle Corps and its related ensembles.

The meeting will be on Sunday, February 23 at 5pm at the Main Stage of the Children's Theatre of Maine, 317 Marginal Way, next to Play It Again Sports.

In this meeting we will explain the process of starting the corps - fundraising, instrument supply, timelines, insurance and developing the human resources - teaching and support - that will help make this drum corps a reality

This is not an audition or rehearsal but a chance for all interested folks - students, parents, alumni of former Portland area corps and plain drum corps nuts - to check out the organization and get involved.

If you would like to help bring drum corps back to Southern Maine, please explore our website at http://www.AtlanticGuardian.org and post us with any questions you might have.

regards - Jim Alberty - startup co-ordinator
