We are looking for a few good musicians! Do you play a brass, woodwind, or rhythm instrument? Do you want to travel and perform with one of the world's premier bands? Would you enjoy getting great benefits, including full medical and dental coverage, 100% college tuition, guaranteed promotions, and regular pay raises? Then the Marine Corps Band is for you! Join an elite group of musicians who love playing music, as well as the camaraderie associated with being a United States Marine! You would be a full time musician, doing what you love to do, with people who love music as much as you do. As a Marine Musician, you will also receive formal musical training throughout your career, including three levels of professional music school, and one level of instrument repair school. There are 12 Marine Corps Bands you may audition for, and the Drum and Bugle Corps.
Your selection to the one of the premier bands on the planet is based on an audition. Audition requirements are as follows:

For wind instruments you must be able to:
- Play from memory all major and minor scales.
- Play a chromatic scale throughout the written range of the instrument.
- Play a grade level IV/Class A solo written specifically for the auditioning instrument.
- Sight-read varied styles of music provided by our Musician Technical Assistant

For percussion you must be able to:
- Play from memory all standard rudiments on snare drum.
- Play from memory all major and minor scales on a mallet instrument.
- Play a grade level IV/Class A solo on the snare drum.
- Sight-read various styles of music provided by our Musician Technical Assistant.
