academy is making the smart move. but i dont think that we can really comment on how they'll do next year. they have known that their season would end now, and designed it to peak now. everyone else who is going to finals designed their shows to peak at finals. it really isnt comparable

thanks, i know that div III corps are much smaller organizations, i'm marching in one. i was just surprised that so many corps aren't marching any local shows before they leave for tour. we're playing 3 or 4 shows before tour, in addittion to the mini tour we had this weekend. it seemed strange that...

i have been looking for scores for div III, and i can only find scores for 10 corps. looking on corpsreps.com, the dates given for debuts are in mid to late july. is this accurate? it seems strange to me that half the corps have played at least one show, and some of them will have played two or thre...

citations, we were at the malden show (div III), play G bugles. and we doubled the size of the corps this year. i think the size of the horn line increased even more than that.

I am still contemplating a trip to RI for II/III Finals too div II/III competition in finals week has been moved to marciano stadium in Brockton MA. you may be able to find a hotel somewhere between foxborough MA, where div I is, and brockton, so that you can actually go see competition...

i forgot one oher thing. i really dont like convertible tuba's. i find that they often have poor tone quality, and the position and orientation of the valves is awkward.
