Re: Deciding if...

Hey guys, Let me start by saying that I completely respect most of the opinions stated in this thread. I have actually met a couple people from here and I know that you care a great deal for this activity....which is why I am so disappointed that so many of you have such bleak outlooks for drum cor...

Re: Deciding if...

Just my two cents as a pretty casual drum corps alumni and fan; But I think as far as the quality of shows goes last year had to be one of my favorites! Crown and SCV gave me goosebumps for 10 minutes each in the theater, which IMO is a tragically horrible venue for DC... This has been said before, ...

Re: early recordings?

@cwbjr67 of those I've only heard Madison '88 and SCV '89, I'll add the other two to my Denver playlist, thanks!

Re: early recordings?

'95 was definitely one of my favorite years, BD, SCV, Madison, Cadets and Cavies all had legendary shows that year IMO =)

Taipie Yu fu got a HUGE reaction from the Seattle area crowd. While East Coast Jazz didn't really get any.
People really liked that traditional fan dance thing, So lots of dissapointed northwest fans after II/III finals!

Re: Instructors heading back to band camp(s) during finals w

Heard that a brass instructor or two left the Crusaders to go back to Tarpoon Springs HS (FL) for band camp. If true, unbelievable. Any input on this possibility or if other corps have experienced the same issue would be appreciated. Dan Kelly hey man when you teach marching for a living a gig's a ...

Re: August 9th - Div II Prelims

I guess I just realized today....there are only 9 Div II corps????? Total? No. Competing at Finals this year? Yes. Remember, not every D-II corps can make the trip. Several west coast corps decided not to attend this year: SCV Cadets, Blue Devils "B", The Academy, etc... unfortunatley that "etc..."...

I just got done talking this over with a friend, and we were wondering HOW exactly did Southwind miss the quarters broadcast? from what we understood they averaged the corps' scores from the last 4 shows. But it doesn't seem fair to Southwind, who has seemed to come out on top of the Capital/Mandari...
